Community Partnerships
As part of our long-standing commitment to the wider community and the region we
have been working for many years with local and National good causes. Today we continue
to support local communities throughout the West Country, here are some of our current
partners:
South West Wildlife Trusts
Farm and Cottage Holidays is working with the Wildlife Trust in two ways. Firstly,
by becoming a Corporate Supporter, the business is committing its support to the
excellent work carried out by DWT. Secondly, by making a contribution to The Wildlife
Trusts from each holiday booking made. This money will be part allocated, according
to the location of the booking, to one of Devon, Cornwall, Somerset or Dorset Wildlife
Trusts.
Taste of the West – Main sponsors
Taste of the West, established in 1991, is the regional food and drink trade organisation
for the South West of England. As a membership organisation Taste of the West works
to develop the region's exceptional regional food and drink industry. We are one
of the main sponsors for this event and believe that this plays a major role in
promoting and attracting visitors to the West Country
North Devon Plus
We have been working and supporting North Devon+ for many years through a variety
of tourism, food and drink projects, and in the role they provide as the primary
focus for regeneration, tourism and business development across North Devon.
They are the economic delivery agency for the area, working with Torridge District
Council, North Devon Council, Devon County Council, the South West of England Regional
Development Agency and the private sector to deliver projects and initiatives that
encourage and support business growth, improve quality of life, and address social
and economic inequalities.
Bideford RFC
We have strong links with Bideford RFC, with several of our staff being involved
with the Club at one time or another. We also sponsor at least one match a season
which is always well attended by many of our owners and business associates. The
club was originally formed in 1926 and is currently in the process of redeveloping
its facilities to encourage and maintain its strong youth section for generations
to come
Give them a break
We are currently working with "Give them a break" to help deliver some
holiday opportunities to those in need.
Community News and Smaller Events
We also get involved in a host of smaller projects and events dotted across the
region, here are just some of those that we have supported recently:
- Stevenstone Point to Point
- Wellington School
- Bude RFC
- North Devon Walking festival – main sponsor
