Only a few miles from the sandy beach of Widemouth Bay and a variety of amenities at Bude, which include the Bude Canal where you can hire boats or feed the ducks, as well as a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and general entertainment. The pretty village of Stratton is close by, where you can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat in one of the two pubs. Keen golfers can enjoy a round at a variety of courses, the nearest one being approx. 3 miles away. The owner provides a few welcome treats including fresh flowers and a bottle of wine.
The accommodation has been tastefully furnished with everything co-ordinating and offers ONE bedroom: double featuring a Victorian iron king-size bed. The bedroom is accessed by an open-tread staircase and has an en-suite shower room with WC. Downstairs has wooden flooring throughout and benefits from a pebble effect wall mounted fire which creates a warm and cosy ambience. Lounge/diner: has 2 leather sofas, TV, Freeview, DVD, hi-fi and iPod docking station. There is also a selection of books supplied and DVDs can be borrowed from the owner. Kitchen: extremely well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and many useful extras. Outside: pretty private courtyard with table, chairs and BBQ. Use of family lawn garden and laundry room adjacent to the cottage. Amenities: roadside parking for 1 car. Bed linen, towels, electric and wi-fi included. Central heating extra £20 per week between October and April, payable direct to the owner on arrival. Regret no smoking, pets, or children (babies in arms only). Location: beach 3 miles. Pubs 1 mile.
