This large and well equipped detached farmhouse is situated in a peaceful hamlet and surrounded by 80 acres.
Centrally located makes it a perfect base for touring Cornwall and perfect for walkers, being only a 30 minute drive from Dartmoor National Park. The coastlines to the North and South are both within an easy drive and offer a host of long sandy surfing beaches and sheltered coves to explore. Other attractions within a short drive include Trethorne Leisure Farm with indoor and outdoor activities for children and a full size 18 hole golf course, Tamar Otter Sanctuary and Tintagel. The Eden Project is a 45 minute drive. In the evenings, relax in the large enclosed lawn gardens with patio area, seating and BBQ, or visit one of the many local family pubs. Coarse fishing available on request.
The spacious accommodation is split into two wings approached via separate staircases. There are FIVE bedrooms: first wing offers 1 double and 1 twin. The second wing offers 1 double, 1 twin, 1 zip-and-link double which can be a twin. Bathroom: first wing offers shower room with WC, second wing offers bathroom with WC. Lounge: large room with woodburner, TV, DVD and Freeview. Kitchen/diner: traditional farmhouse style, which retains much original charm and character with slate floors, bread oven etc with cooker, dishwasher, Aga, microwave and fridge/freezer. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: large enclosed gardens with play equipment and patio/ seating area. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels (not for beach use), electric, central heating, first basket of logs, Wi-fi and body boards for surfing included. Homemade cake on arrival. Free range eggs available on request. Regret no pets. Location: beach 15 miles, pub and shop 1 mile. Arrival 4pm.
