The Coast House is in the picturesque hamlet of Trewint, part of the award-winning village of Altarnum on Bodmin Moor. It is opposite Wesley’s Cottage, an historic church where John Wesley preached and stayed, which is now a museum. The pretty village has much to offer with its post office, butchers, grocery store, St Nonnas Church and not forgetting the two popular pubs, one at each end of the village both serving good food. Set on the moor there are many picturesque walks within easy access along with many historical sights that are well worth a visit. A 10 minute drive will bring you to the old market town of Launceston with its Norman Castle and Steam Railway. You will be ideally placed for touring the whole of Devon and Cornwall and about half way in between the north and the south coasts, both within a 30 minute drive.
The upside-down modern accommodation offers THREE spacious bedrooms: 2 doubles, 1 with en-suite shower room with WC and 1 twin. Family bathroom with separate shower cubicle and WC. Open wooden stairs take you up to the first level and into the well-equipped kitchen/diner with electric cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and dining table. There is a utility room with WC, washing machine and fridge/freezer. The lounge offers excellent views over the moor, TV, DVD and video. There is an enclosed patio to the rear of the property with furniture, BBQ and garden shed with further furniture. Off-road parking for 3 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. 1 well-behaved dog welcome. Pub and shop within walking distance and beach 20 miles. |
