The working cattle and sheep farm currently in organic conversion, offers plenty of country walks beside the river and through the fields, lots of farm animals to meet and wildlife to see including kingfishers and swallows of course, or maybe an otter, buzzard or skylark. There are webcams set up to capture the wildlife around the farm which can be viewed on the TV in your cottage, you may be lucky enough to watch Swallows eggs hatching in the nest or bats leaving an old barn. The safely enclosed heated outdoor swimming pool (May - September), giant sandpit, games room and orchard playing field are all nearby. Visitors can try their hand at clay pigeon shooting or fishing (fly and coarse), on the beautiful River Ottery or the smaller Boles Bridge stream which meander through the farm. Experience Classic British Motorbikes when guided by the owner, John, through the delightful local North Cornwall scenery. Bikes include BSA, Norton, Triumph, etc (bring details of own insurance, licence and protective clothing please). A wonderful centre for visiting both Cornwall and Devon. Many attractions including The Eden Project, Plymouth Aquarium, and King Arthur's Castle at Tintagel are within easy travelling distance.
