These four traditional Cornish cottages are set within 200 acres of farmland with fantastic views over rolling moorland. Approached via a long private drive this rural location offers peace and space to enjoy the Cornish countryside at its best. The farm overlooks the Redmoor Nature Reserve and is set on the side of Helman Tor, from the top of which there are far-reaching and impressive views of rural Cornwall in all directions. On the farm a herd of goats, flock of breeding ewes, herd of Exmoor ponies, sheep and a donkey can be seen grazing in the adjoining fields. The owners run the farm in harmony with nature and you will be welcome to enjoy a walk in the wilderness trail through the nature reserve direct from the cottages. Both the North and South coasts are easily reached from this central position both offering fantastic beaches for surfing and bathing. In the area horse riding, golf and fishing can be found close by, as well as The Eden Project, Newquay Zoo and the beautiful National Trust properties and gardens of Lanhydrock and Pencarro.
The cottages have been converted from a range of old granite farm buildings, dating back to the 1860s and many original features have been maintained. A low enclosed wall separates the cottages from the rest of the farm and a shared enclosed lawn offers plenty of space for children to play. Some toys are provided along with a BBQ and seating. Kestrel Corner offers TWO bedrooms: 1 master double with four poster bed and 1 twin bedroom. A kitchen/lounge/diner with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, TV and DVD with Freeview and electric log effect fire. Bathroom with shower over and WC. Electric by meter. Wi-fi available in cottage garden. The cottage is provided with a copy of The Saints Way, a book describing the Way, running from Padstow to Fowey past Helman Tor and other interesting landmarks of the Way. A washing machine and tumble dryer are situated in the shared laundry.
