Situated within the West Looe Valley, Herodsfoot is an ideal place to escape whatever the weather. This cosy cottage, opposite the village green, is an idyllic base for the family to explore the quiet woodland, where you can walk and cycle in perfect safety away from any busy roads. There is a Deer Park Forest just a few minutes walk away, where you can watch the deer being fed and observe other activities. Trago Mills, famous for its discounted shopping, is just 10 minutes drive away and well worth a visit. The local towns of Looe, Liskeard and Polperro are all within a short drive and offer a range of activities. Spend the day at the picturesque fishing village of Looe, with its cobbled streets and buzzing harbour, or entertain the children on its sandy beach. For the more adventurous types why not hire your own motor boat to explore the harbour and bay, or take one of the many boat trips for a bit of sightseeing. Further afield there are a range of attractions to suit all tastes including The Eden Project, Porfell Animal Land, Lanhydrock House and Gardens or the steep-sided valley gorge at Golitha Falls. In the evenings, spend time in the large enclosed rear garden.
