Approached via a private driveway, Forge Manor Cottage has been converted from a former barn into a most comfortable and inviting home from home. Nestling in a fantastic spot, with views over the neighbouring meadow and woodland, the cottage offers a relaxing retreat. Here at the cottage, parties will enjoy watching the horses that are kept close by and often in the adjacent meadow. A foot/bridle path runs directly from the cottage driveway offering a chance to explore the surrounding countryside and see various types of wildlife along the way. Access to the local tramway, which is ideal for cycling, is close by. From the tramline you can access the sandy beach at Portreath or take the opposite direction to meet the coast at Devoran (cycle hire can be arranged with the owners). The sandy bays of Portreath and Porthtowan are approximately 2 miles away with village shops, the local pub is approximately 1 mile and a Chinese restaurant can also be found within a mile. This North coastal area offers excellent surfing and attractions to suit all ages including The Cornish Cider Farm, Newquay Zoo and Aquarium, Flambards Theme Park and a short drive to the Lizard and Lands End peninsulas.
Forge Manor Cottage has been thoughtfully renovated and equipped to a good standard with TWO bedrooms: 1 double with TV, en-suite shower room and WC, 1 twin bedroom with TV, en-suite bathroom with shower over and WC. The open-plan living area includes a kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge (with ice compartment), dishwasher, washing machine and a dining area for four people plus a comfortable lounge with leather sofas, TV, Freeview and DVD. The cottage has a choice of two patio areas which are enclosed with a low-level stone wall and a fenced, lawned area. There is an external secure storage area for bikes and surf boards if required. Private water supply. Ample allocated parking directly outside the cottage. Bed linen, towels and first £10 of electric are included, full central heating, subject to a £15 weekly surcharge during Nov - March. 1 dog welcome, with dogsitting available by arrangement.
