St Ives

For generations a haven for internationally renowned artists, poets and authors seeking inspiration, romantic St Ives offers a truly cultural experience with over 40 galleries hidden within the warren of cobbled streets. The home to the world famous Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Gardens, you can even meet the current crop of artists during the Open Studios at the end of May and the two week art, music and literacy extravaganza which has become a key attraction of the St Ives September Festival.

St Ives also offers a unique and full range of trendy craft and clothes shops which you can browse at a relaxed pace. After a day exploring there is a fine range of traditional restaurants and chic bistros on offer to tempt any guest to St Ives and enjoy the fine range of seafood on offer which has been a staple fair for centuries. The sweeping St Ives Bay which is a proud member of ‘The Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club’, hails two of the countries finest beaches, Porthmeor and Porthminster with Porthmeor satisfying the more energetic being a popular surfing beach and Porthminster being a meeting point for sun worshippers and sand castle makers. Both have Blue Flag Status. At low tide, the bay offers over two miles of golden sand.

With the arrival of the railway in Victorian times, St Ives rapidly gained a reputation as one of our favourite holiday destinations and remains so to this day with a wide range of beautiful holiday cottages and luxury apartments available for your choice.
