Standing in its own grounds, the house is just a short walk away from the family farm. Farm activities: you are welcome to see the animals including horses, cattle, sheep, chickens and when in season, you can even help to feed the lambs! Guests are welcome to take a short stroll through the lane on the farmland and watch the wildlife around the Lakes. Games room: in the property with darts, table skittles and pool table.
Roadford Lake is nearby where you can walk and the property is also an ideal base for exploring the picturesque villages and rugged scenery of Dartmoor, take an organised tour on Dartmoor to visit the film locations for the recent box office film War Horse, as well as the dramatic Cornish coastline. Other nearby attractions include Lydford Gorge, Two Bridges, Widecombe in the Moor, Castle Drogo, Buckland Abbey as well as many National Trust properties. Cycle hire is available in Okehampton with the bikes being delivered to your door if required. The larger regional centres of Plymouth, Exeter and Torbay are also nearby which offer theatres, shops, restaurants, cinemas and indoor swimming pools. Plymouth also has an ice rink and a dry ski slope.
