Virtually on the Dorset border, this little known, unspoilt, unhurried haven is in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and is ideal for anyone seeking a ‘get away from it all’ holiday or short break. The World Heritage ‘Jurassic Coastline’ and seaside port of Lyme Regis are about 6 miles away. The lovely regency resort of Sidmouth, with its beaches, shops, restaurants and galleries, and the beautiful coastal villages of Beer and Branscombe are all nearby. Enjoy the many other local attractions including National Trust properties and gardens. Kilmington is located just 2 miles from the town of Axminster and boasts a local village shop and post office, a well-stocked farm shop and a petrol station with shop and bistro. In the evenings sit in the cottages’ orchard and gardens and enjoy glorious views across meadows and farmland to the Axe Valley beyond or take a stroll to one of the two thatched village pubs, both serving good food. The accommodation is arranged in an ‘upside down’ style and offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Large shower room and WC all on the ground floor. Upstairs offers open-plan living accommodation with lovely views. Kitchen area with cooker, fridge and microwave. Lounge with TV, Freeview, DVD and video. Central heating included (set to operate twice daily). Additional central heating is extra, payable to directly to the owner. Arrival time 3pm.
