It is also an idyllic spot from which to walk and cycle or just sit and relax on the deck and enjoy spectacular views of the Axe Valley and the occasional train go by, two fields away. The charming village of Kilmington is a 15 minute walk and boasts two local pubs serving food, a shop and an outstanding farm shop selling local produce. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's acclaimed River Cottage restaurant can be found in nearby Axminster as well as a weekly market and good variety of shops.
