This mining history is portrayed in the living museum of Morwellham Quay that is a short walk away and is definitely worth a visit. A shop, café and pub are available during the day in the village or if you fancy being more adventurous try your hand at canoeing which is also available at the quayside. Just a short distance away from Dartmoor National Park; good for horse riding, cycling and walking or just discovering the beauty of the rugged scenery and quaint valleys. The north and south coasts with their abundent beaches and walks are both within easy access. Or why not vist The Eden Project approximately 35 miles away, a great day out. The City of Plymouth is 20 miles away and offers a rich combination of maritime heritage and natural beauty. It has an extensive range of shops or you can sail, dive, canoe, cruise and even water ski.
