Most of the time our holiday properties book out for the Full week (7 nights), however there are times during some Off Peak periods or last minute where Short Breaks may be arranged with certain properties. They can be either 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights and are priced accordingly. CHARACTER COTTAGE, GREAT FOR WALKING HOLIDAYS This cosy cottage situated next to the owner's farmhouse, nestles in a picturesque wooded valley and offers guests an opportunity to experience the peace and quiet of country life, yet still only a couple of miles from the village centre with its small shop and pub. Visitors are almost adjacent to the Tarka Trail, the long distance cycle and footpath which offers wonderful scenery as well as a few welcome watering holes along the way. The glorious sandy beach at Westward Ho! is only a 25 minute drive and Dartmoor and Exmoor (approximately 20 miles) are also within easy reach. Much more to see and do in the area with RHS Rosemoor Gardens, The Plough Arts Centre, 1646 Visitor Attraction and Dartington Crystal all in Torrington. For those who like to explore a little further, why not visit the fishing village of Clovelly with its cobbled street leading down to the pretty harbour. Visit the Tamar Lakes at Kilkhampton and try your hand at a variety of water sports or fishing. Or why not just sit and relax with a drink and a book on the small enclosed patio area or on the sunchairs by the lake where you can enjoy some quiet time. Guests who bring their pets can exercise them off-lead in one of two adjacent fields.
This spacious cottage is well furnished and equipped and offers ONE bedroom: large double with sloping ceilings and ample room for travel cot. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/diner: with exposed stonework, woodburner (first basket of logs included) SkyTV, DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen: with dishwasher, electric cooker, hob and extractor hood, washer/dryer, microwave and many useful extras. Inner hallway area ideal for walking boots or dog basket. Outside: enclosed small garden with seating and BBQ. Amenities: ample enclosed parking further along the lane next to the outdoor kennels. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. 2 dogs welcome inside the property, outdoor kennels are also available by arrangement for additional pets.
