This character stone cottage, with original beams and woodburner, was formerly the village bakery and is situated at the end of a short cobbled footpath in the heart of the popular Devon village of West Down. The cottage has been carefully furnished and decorated, and has all the usual modern conveniences that, together with candles, essential oil burners and its woodburner in the lounge/dining room, provides a truly relaxing all-year-round getaway. You are within a few minutes walk from the popular Crown Inn, excellent post office and village shop, and some beautiful rural walks. You are also within easy reach of North Devon's picturesque villages and bustling markets, Exmoor National Park, a wide selection of attractions, a range of restaurants and 'gastro-pubs', and the internationally renowned beaches of Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde.
The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin (which easily accommodates a cot when only one bed is in use). Bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/dining room with a woodburner (first basket of logs included), TV, DVD player, a selection of DVDs, Freeview, hi-fi and a selection of books and games. Kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A small patio area provides a lovely spot to sit and relax or enjoy a BBQ. Parking is just a few minutes walk from the cottage, where there is one designated parking space and any additional parking can be easily found on the roadside.
