Bradworthy village is just a few miles away having a church, pub/restaurant, garage (fuel and workshop facilities) and small range of shops. Kilkhampton, another delightful village, is just 5 miles towards Bude. The sandy beaches or wonderful clifftop walks along the North Devon and Cornwall coasts are all at hand and Bude with award winning beaches, friendly town, canal walks and many facilities is just 5 miles down the road. A relaxed region, with lots to do for everyone, plenty of space and natural pursuits, is backed up with rainy day opportunities including indoor bowling nearby, giant play areas, toy museum, adventure parks such as The Milky Way, Trethorne and The Big Sheep, shopping outlet Atlantic Village, the famous villages of Clovelly, Tintagel and Boscastle are all nearby. Of course, the Bradworthy Transport Museum is on site (free entry for guests of Calf Barn) and offers a licensed restaurant/cafe open throughout the year with lovely views over the Lower Tamar Lake.

This stylish barn is warm and cosy with efficient oil-fired central heating and offers TWO bedrooms situated at each end of the barn making it ideal for 2 couple occupancy: 1 double with en-suite shower room and WC, 1 twin with adjacent bathroom with bath, shower over and WC. Open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with superbly fitted kitchen with integrated appliances including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge (with small freezer compartment) electric oven/hob and hood, microwave and many useful extras. Lounge area has comfortable seating (sofa can be used as double sofa bed if required), electric woodburner, TV/DVD and hi-fi. Dining area can seat up to 7 comfortably. Over 90 vehicles in Bradworthy Transport Museum elsewhere on the 100 acre site and in 2008 a café if you don’t want to cook. Small raised decked area ideal for evening drinks.
