Short Breaks


Most of the time our holiday properties book out for the Full week (7 nights), however there are times during some Off Peak periods or last minute where Short Breaks may be arranged with certain properties. They can be either 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights and are priced accordingly. Please remember that all short break enquiries have to be checked prior to booking, simply find your perfect cottage, get in touch and we will help finalise your enquiry either email or phone our Reservation Team .

About the property

LUXURY DETACHED HOUSE WITH STUNNING VIEWS OVER ANCIENT TOWN OF BIDEFORD

The property is located in a private road occupying an elevated position in East-the-Water giving magnificent views over the River Torridge towards Bideford town, the bridge, the quay and the tidal fountain.

The river provides a wide range of recreational pursuits including yachting, rowing, fishing and bathing and the surfing beaches of Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands and Croyde are all easily accessible. Cyclists can enjoy the Tarka Trail which is adjacent to the property and offers delightful walks in picturesque countryside. There is so much to see and do in the area with attractions to suit all tastes which include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor Gardens and much more. Stroll into the town where there is an array of small shops, restaurants and good quality pubs and in the evenings relax on the large decking area enjoying the views or try an all weather BBQ under the veranda. Leisure facilities: hot tub on decking area with views. Games room: den with TV/DVD, games and Nintendo Wii (please feel free to bring games).

The accommodation has been refurbished to a high standard and offers FIVE bedrooms: 2 doubles both with TVs and feature en-suite shower rooms with WC, 1 zip-and-link double which can be a twin on request and 2 further twins. Bathroom: with mixer shower over bath and WC. Separate WC downstairs. Lounge/diner: open-plan with fully-glazed panoramic wall with french doors leading to the deck. Plasma screen TV, DVD, Freeview, Sky, hi-fi with iPod docking station and 2 open fires (1st bag of coal included over winter months). Second sitting room: with woodburner, TV, DVD, Freeview, Sky and french doors leading to deck. Kitchen: located off the lounge/diner, well equipped, farmhouse style with Aga, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Utility: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: large enclosed gardens and decking with hot tub, seating and BBQ (1st bag of charcoal provided in summer). Care should be taken with small children in the outside spaces. Amenities: ample off-road parking for 4-5 cars on the gated, private driveway. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi internet access, electric and central heating included. 2 dogs welcome. Additional information: a second cot is available on request. Location: beach 2 miles, shop and pub walking distance.
