This spacious house is set within walking distance of the glorious sandy beach of Westward Ho!. As well as a huge range of typical seaside activities, surfers, body boarders, and sun worshippers can all enjoy the magnificent beach which offers over 2 miles of golden sands.
The Northam Burrows Country Park is adjacent to the beach and a gateway from the burrows leads directly to the cul-de-sac in which the house is situated. Westward Ho! offers a range of pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as amusement arcades, takeaways and shops, etc. Spectacular clifftop walks can be enjoyed with far reaching views out over the Atlantic Ocean and an ideal vantage point to enjoy the evening sunsets. The larger port town of Bideford is only a 10 minute drive and offers weekly pannier and open-air markets and both are worth a look. Other interesting places to visit are Appledore, a small fishing village with many maritime connections and Instow, with its estuary beach and lots of sand dunes. Instow is also home to the North Devon Yacht Club. All-in-all, an ideal holiday location and great for those who love beach life! Games room: within the house and well-equipped with table tennis table, football table, soft seating area, hi-fi and a selection of games/puzzles.
The spacious house has been built to a high standard and has incorporated many energy saving ideas such as under floor heating fuelled by environmentally friendly wood pellets and also a water recycling system which uses rainwater to flush toilets, etc. The accommodation offers FIVE bedrooms: situated downstairs are 2 single bedrooms, both having room for additional camp bed if required (provided) and one with an en-suite shower room with WC. Upstairs there is 1 double with views over the burrows and en-suite shower room with WC, 1 twin room and 1 further double room with views over the burrows. Bathroom: family size with bath, shower over and WC. The living areas, which are all downstairs, are ideal for larger families with active children. Lounge: with a woodburner and large 42" TV and DVD, SkyPlus basic package plus hi-fi, seating for 10 and double doors that open out onto a patio area. Kitchen/diner: large and well-equipped with electric range cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and large farmhouse table as well as additional seating. French doors lead out to the patio. Outside: patio area and level lawn with garden furniture, 14' trampoline and views over the burrows. For those keen surfers amongst you the added advantage of an outdoor hot shower to wash sandy bodies/wetsuits and equally good for washing off sandy toes! Amenities: ample parking for 3 cars.
