This delightful property, overlooking the quaint cobbled church square, nestles in this bustling Saxon hilltop conservation village which retains its traditional charm.
With much to see and do locally, walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice with the beautiful surrounding scenery to explore. Close by, the Tarka Line, a single track railway, known to be one of the most beautiful lines, follows the River Taw and runs for 39 miles between Exeter and Barnstaple. This is joined by the renowned Tarka Trail, ideal for walking or cycling, at the nearby station of Eggesford. Centrally located for exploring the north and south coasts, Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks and a number of historic houses and gardens. The village has a golf course, cricket pitch and variety of small shops. Adjacent to the cottage is a gastro pub, serving evening meals and wine bar/tea room type meals. They do have restricted opening times; however there are other restaurants and pubs within a stroll of the cottage.
The cosy and well-equipped cottage offers reverse level accommodation to take advantage of the view, and ONE bedroom: situated on the ground floor, 1 double with en-suite shower room and WC. Lounge: situated on the first floor, with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, TV, woodburner (first basket of logs provided), games and books. Kitchen/diner: situated on the ground floor, with fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and many useful extras. Outside: door from the kitchen leads out to a covered courtyard with table and seating. This area is can be used to store bicycles. Amenities: parking for 1 small car directly outside the cottage, ample parking nearby. Bed linen and electric included. Heating an extra £15 (October - end April) payable to the owner on arrival.
