LODGE STYLE ACCOMMODATION - AN IDEAL BASE TO EXPLORE THE AREA
These stylish lodges are situated on the Hartland Forest Golf and Leisure Parc and sit in a glorious location close to the stunning North Devon Heritage Coastline with miles of sandy beaches within easy reach. There is a lot to see and do nearby, with the unique and picturesque villages of Clovelly and Appledore, being a must! The seaside towns of Bude and Westward Ho! are also nearby with Bude offering extensive beaches as well as a good range of facilities and shops. A trip on the "Oldenburg" to Lundy Island is also a popular day out. For children, the area has an abundance of attractions such as The Milky Way and The Big Sheep. The water sports centre at Tamar Lakes offers sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.
On site, visitors to Hartland Forest are welcome to wander through the woodland copses, along the river bank and enjoy the abundant wildlife, with birds and otters; you may even see the occasional wild deer making an appearance. A footpath from the site gives access to the adjacent countryside and the 1000 acres of Hartland Forest.
Guests are welcome to use the leisure facilities at Penstowe Manor in the neighbouring village of Kilkhampton which includes a 22 metre tropically heated indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, table tennis, squash, badminton and a children's play area. Guests can purchase a leisure pass to suit the number in their party and length of stay.
The lodges have been built to a high specification and each one offers everything needed for an enjoyable holiday. The lounge area has a TV, hi-fi, video, CD and DVD along with a sofa bed. The well-equipped kitchen has built-in oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is individual parking for each lodge. 1 dog by arrangement at HAR02, HAR08 and HAR45. Regret no pets at HAR44 and HAR65. Bed linen, towels and electric included. Shops and pub 2 miles. Beach 8 miles. Arrival time 4pm.
There are TWO styles of lodges available:
2 bedrooms (sleeping up to 4/6) + cots and highchairs
3 Bedrooms (sleeping up to 6/8) + cots and highchairs
HAR44 and HAR45, which are adjacent to each other and could ideally accommodate larger parties.
The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 king-size double with en-suite shower room or bathroom with WC and heated towel rail. 2 further twin rooms. Family bathroom with shower over or shower room with WC and heated towel rail. Patio doors leading out onto a patio/decked area. HAR45 has an enclosed lockable patio area and Freeview in the lounge.
