Hembury Gate Farm Cottages are situated in beautiful rolling countryside within a short drive of Dartmoor, Exmoor, and the beaches of the North and West Devon coast. Popular local attractions include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal, and Bideford, Bude and Clovelly are all within easy reach. Outdoor pursuits are well catered for locally, from cycling and walking on the renowned Tarka Trail to the excellent fishing and riding facilities available nearby. There are also many traditional and picturesque market towns and villages to explore in the surrounding area.
Along with gardens and the covered children's play area, guests have exclusive use of a 1 acre meadow with picnic table, where you may be lucky enough to see local wildlife including badgers and deer. Guests can relax with a walk in the woodland adjoining the property and enjoy watching the sheep and cows grazing on the farmland. Each of the 3 cottages has an outside seating area with BBQ, a real suntrap in the summer. The shared utility room with freezer and washing machine is also a useful storage area for bikes, surfboards, golf clubs, etc. Ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and heating are included. Dogs welcome. Beach 18 miles, shop and pub 2 miles.
The Stable is a recently refurbished studio apartment providing charming accommodation for a couple in a traditional setting. The high ceiling and beautiful original oak beams add to the stylish and cosy atmosphere. The cottage contains ONE double bed, kitchen/dining area complete with electric hob, combi-microwave/oven and fridge, and separate shower room with WC and is equipped with TV/DVD and hi-fi. Regret no cot or highchair in this property.
