Hembury Gate Farm Cottages are situated in beautiful rolling countryside just outside the attractive village of Sheepwash, within a short drive of Dartmoor, Exmoor, and the beaches of the North and West Devon coast. Popular local attractions include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal, and Bideford, Bude and Clovelly are all within easy reach. Outdoor pursuits are well catered for locally, from cycling and walking on the renowned Tarka Trail to the excellent fishing and riding facilities available nearby. There are also many traditional and picturesque market towns and villages to explore in the surrounding area.
Each of the 3 cottages has an outside seating area with BBQ. The shared utility room with freezer and washing machine is also a useful storage area for bikes, surfboards, golf clubs, etc. Along with gardens and the covered children's play area, guests have exclusive use of a meadow with picnic table, ideal for ball games or exercising dogs. Guests can enjoy many local walks or simply relax watching Dartmoor ponies and cows grazing on the farmland. Ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and heating are all included. Dogs welcome. Beach 18 miles, shop and pub 2 miles.
The Shippon is a recently refurbished detached cottage offering accommodation for 5 and has THREE bedrooms: 1 double, 1 single and 1 bunk. Shower room with WC. The spacious lounge/diner provides a great family living room with fantastic views over the surrounding farmland and is fully equipped with TV/DVD and CD player. The large separate kitchen contains a washing machine, cooker, microwave and fridge. This converted barn provides a modern home-from-home in a traditional rural setting.
