About the property


These beautiful, converted barns are set in a quiet location close to the owners’ 16th century thatched farmhouse. The barns have been transformed from former farm buildings with great care and attention paid to ensure the highest specification; character features such as beams and stonework have been exposed.

A short distance to the many leisure facilities, family attractions and huge selection of bars, restaurants, cafes and pubs in the regional centre of Barnstaple. The glorious sandy beach of Westward Ho! is a 15 minute drive. The surfing paradise of Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton are a little further being about a 1 hour drive. The farm is surrounded by farmland which visitors are welcome to walk and explore. There are a number of circular walks direct from the property which takes in the excellent Hunters Inn at the nearby village of Newton Tracey, being less than 4 miles away and serving good food, it is an ideal way to build up your appetite. All in all, an ideal holiday location.

Farm activities: come and see the horses, ducks, chickens and cats. Visitors are welcome to feed the ducks, see the owners’ horses by arrangement or walk over the owners farmland which includes a nature trail along a small river, or sit and watch the wildlife by the lakes. Games barn: heated, with pool table, table football, table ice hockey and small ball pit. Play facilities: communal swings, slide and trampoline. Outside: large communal lawn area which visitors are encouraged to use and is ideal for ball games. Picnic area. Amenities: the properties have ample parking close to them. Bed linen, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Towels for hire. 1 dog welcome. Location: beach 12 miles, pubs 2.5 miles, Barnstaple town 4 miles.

This barn is a split-level conversion and offers FOUR bedrooms: 1 double on the ground floor and down a few steps. On a higher level, off a galleried landing, 1 king-size with TV and en-suite shower room with WC and 2 twin bedrooms. Bathroom: with whirlpool bath with shower over and WC. Lounge/diner: spacious area with an impressive central section which shows off the high ceilings, exposed beams and galleried staircase/landing, gas woodburner, TV, DVD, selection of DVDs, hi-fi and Wii games console with games. Kitchen: well-equipped with electric range-style cooker, hob and hood, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, TV and many useful extras. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Separate WC. Outside: enclosed private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ.

Dogs are charged at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
