This former lifeboatman's cottage is situated in Appledore's most prestigious street and enjoys fabulous estuary and sea views. Enjoy watching the fishing and pleasure boats passing from most of the rooms or from the pleasant public garden area with benches immediately in front of the property. The cottage has been lovingly restored by the present owner who has had the property in the same family for over 100 years.
Stroll the quaint small lanes of Appledore with its quayside, Maritime Museum, galleries, shops and many traditional family pubs. Explore North Devon with attractions to suit all tastes which include The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Dartington Crystal and more. The two miles of long sandy surfing beach of Westward Ho! is less than a 5 minute drive as is the sandy beach at Instow. Leisure facilities including swimming, tennis, golf, riding and more are within easy reach.
The accommodation is arranged over three storeys with cottage-style steps and offers FIVE bedrooms: on the first floor are 2 doubles, 1 with TV/DVD and freesat and 1 with en-suite shower room with WC and 1 single bedroom. On the second floor is 1 4' double, 1 twin with TV/DVD and freesat. Four of the bedrooms enjoy fabulous sea views. Bathroom: on the first floor with shower attachment and WC. Lounge: with flatscreen TV, freesat, video, DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen/diner: with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker and microwave. Outside: enclosed patio area with seating and BBQ. Amenities: roadside parking close by. Bed linen, electric and central heating included (small charge in winter months). 1 dog by arrangement (regret no dogs during the peak summer weeks).
