Steeped in history and tested in time, this attraction has a real foothold in the town’s history, most famously surviving the freak flood in 1952 in Lynmouth where buildings, bridges, and cars were destroyed, along with 34 lives. Take a family excursion and start with a ride on the water powered cliff railway and ascend up to Lynton where you can admire the view and hunt through the various boutiques. To top off your time in Lynton a visit to spectacular formation of the valley of the rocks is a must see, its various paths and wildlife is a breathtaking experience for all. After your time at the top, take a return journey down to Lynmouth where the shingle beach is the idyllic place for a stroll or to walk your pet.
