About the property


This 19th Century terraced cottage, occupies a superb position in the small village of Higher Clovelly, just a mile away from the picture postcard Clovelly village with its steep cobbled streets. Recently renovated it now provides modern accommodation with a traditional twist with exposed woodwork and uneven low ceilings where care needs to be taken in some parts.

The garden is a real suntrap and has good views across the Combe, the perfect setting for a BBQ. Clovelly itself is a lovely day out with its winding cobbled street down the hillside passing pretty whitewashed cottages down to the sheltered harbour where pubs, shops and restaurants crowd around the working harbour, where the local fishermen show their daily catch. If you fancy a trip to the sea side then there are many small sheltered coves around the area, the popular beach of Westward Ho! is also within a few miles and is great for families. There are local attractions situated close by including The Milky Way Adventure Park and Big Sheep farm park. The old market town of Bideford is within a short drive and offers a quaint quayside, along with its market and bustling high street.

The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 2 doubles and 1 bunk bedroom. Bathroom: family size with corner bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. Lounge: offers a cosy room downstairs, with flatscreen TV, Freeview, video and DVD. Dining room: with woodburner. Kitchen: modern room with island, electric cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and many handy extras. Downstairs cloak room with WC. Utility room: small outbuilding with tumble dryer. Outside: offers an enclosed lawn garden with decked area, furniture and BBQ. Amenities: off-road parking for 1 car. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and first basket of logs included. Regret no smoking, pets or highchair. Location: beach, pub and shop 1.5 miles. Arrival: 3pm
