This idyllic cottage is situated a few miles from the 2 charming villages of Bradworthy and Kilkhampton, both offering a pub (several in Kilkhampton), shops, post office, church, and fish and chip shop. Peaceful and relaxing, the cottage is set in a rural position in the lane of a working farm. The friendly owners live opposite but offer visitors freedom to enjoy their stay without intrusion. The cottage has been restored using only traditional materials, therefore enhancing the properties character. Plenty to see and do in the area and within walking distance of the Tamar Lakes which offer a variety of water sports and fishing, as well as excellent walking. The small sandy coves of Sandymouth and Duckpool as well as the larger beaches at Bude are approximately a 20 minute drive. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are ideal for a day's adventure. Other attractions worth a visit are RHS Rosemoor Gardens at Torrington, Appledore, a small fishing village set on the Taw and Torridge estuary is worth visiting and from here you will be a short drive to the village of Instow where you can sit and relax in the sand dunes or alternatively hire bikes and cycle along the Tarka Trail.
The spacious, yet cosy cottage offers ONE large open-plan bedroom via oak, open-tread staircase. The bedroom can be arranged to suit all parties with a zip-up bed making a king-size double or alternatively twin beds. Wooden floors throughout and lots of homely touches. Large bathroom with bath, shower over and WC. Downstairs, lounge/diner with electric woodburner, TV, DVD and video. Kitchen with electric cooker and hood, washing machine, fridge and microwave. Private suntrap patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Lots of lovely walks direct from the property. Bed linen and full central heating included. Towels available for hire.
