This idyllic detached cottage is situated a few miles from the charming villages of Bradworthy and Kilkhampton, both offering a pub (several in Kilkhampton), shops, post office, church, and fish and chip shop. The cottage has been restored using only traditional materials, therefore enhancing the property's character with wooden floors throughout and lots of homely touches. The friendly owners live opposite but offer visitors freedom to enjoy their stay without intrusion. Peaceful and relaxing, the cosy cottage is ideal for couples and is set in a rural position in the lane of a working farm offering lots of lovely walks direct from the property. Plenty to see and do in the area and within walking distance of the Tamar Lakes which offer a variety of water sports and fishing, as well as excellent walking. The small sandy coves of Sandymouth and Duckpool and the larger beaches at Bude are approximately a 20 minute drive. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are ideal for a day's adventure. Other attractions in the area are RHS Rosemoor Gardens at Torrington, Appledore, a small fishing village on the Taw and Torridge estuary is worth visiting, from here you will be a short drive to the village of Instow where you can sit and relax in the sand dunes or hire bikes and cycle along the Tarka Trail.
The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: accessed via an oak, open-tread staircase with king-size bed (which can be a twin on request) with en-suite shower over bath and WC. Lounge/diner: with woodburner effect electric fire, TV, Freeview and DVD. Kitchen: with electric cooker and hood, washing machine, fridge and microwave. Outside: private suntrap patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Amenities: parking for 1 car with steps leading down to the cottage. Bed linen, electric and central heating included.
