PEACEFUL LOCATION, COUNTRYSIDE WALKS, PUBS NEARBY, PADDOCK AND STABLES
This delightful stone conversion is situated adjacent to the owner's 15th century thatched cottage, yet offers visitors privacy to enjoy their stay without intrusion. The cottage interior is surprisingly spacious, fully centrally heated and offers character features such as exposed stonework, low ceilings and exposed beams. Lots to see and do nearby with many activities within a short drive. Fishing (Stafford Moor Fishery), horseriding, (bridle path leads almost directly from the cottage), or just walk the surrounding land which is a picture of daffodils in the springtime. The village of High Bickington is only a 20 minute walk and has 2 pubs, a church and a small shop/post office. The regional centre of Barnstaple is a 20 minute drive and offers a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as excellent leisure facilities. Great Torrington is also nearby and a trip to the living museum of "1646" is worthwhile. See the history of this little town and step back in time to watch the re-enactment of the Battle of Torrington. Other visitor attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens or Dartington Crystal where you can see glass being blown, enjoy a spot of lunch, or flash the cash in the superb gift shop. If all of this sounds too energetic why not just sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity at the cottage.
