The property is within 2.5 mile from the village of Hartland, originally a Georgian market town where you will find Hartland Point and Quay and a selection of shops, Post Office, craft shops and pubs.
The character farmhouse was built in 1627 and is listed in the Doomsday Book. Guests are encouraged to explore the farm and enjoy the wonderful walks particularly in the cliff meadows 2 minutes from the house which are SSSI graded (Site of Special Scientific Interest) great for bird watching and wildlife enthusiasts. Easily accessible from the house is the coast path winding along high cliffs to unspoilt rocky coves and sandy beaches. If you can tear yourself away from the activities and beautiful location, the wide, sandy beaches and amenities around Bude or Bideford are within a 20 minute drive and are perfect for those that enjoy sunbathing or surfing. There is also Clovelly which is well worth a visit, with its steep, stepped, cobbled streets leading down to a pretty harbour. Visit a wealth of nearby family attractions including The Big Sheep and The Milky Way to name a few. At the end of the day, you can relax in the shared lawn garden and watch the sunset or sit in the private courtyard which is perfect for alfresco dining and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Farm activities: on site, meet the resident ponies and donkey, feed the chickens, feed the ducks by their fenced wildlife pond and enjoy the butterfly garden and seating area.
