This well-equipped studio apartment is on the cliff edge overlooking the breathtaking North Devon rocky coast and entrance to Ilfracombe Harbour and has unbroken sea views as well as being within a short stroll to the harbour area. Ilfracombe makes a wonderful holiday base with its natural harbour, lazy pavement cafes and a wide variety of eating establishments. The town has been a popular family resort since Victorian times and in the summer holiday weeks bursts into activity. Most of the year, however, the harbour has a village atmosphere with a tranquillity which reflects the relaxed Devon pace of life. Explore the rugged coast of North Devon with over 850 square miles of Britain's finest countryside. Walk along the coastal path through the superb scenery to Fuschia Valley or travel eastwards to Hele Bay, the beauties of Hunters Inn and Heddons Mouth, The Valley of the Rocks and the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. A short drive will take you to Woolacombe and Saunton where the golden sands stretch for over 5 miles and are some of the finest and cleanest beaches in Europe. Activities and attractions abound. Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are nearby. There is horse riding on the moors or beaches and golfers of all standards are catered for at the numerous surrounding courses. Ships and boats working out of the harbour will take you fishing or sightseeing or perhaps to Lundy or Swansea. Visit the famous Tunnels Beaches and see how Victorians enjoyed sea bathing at Ilfracombe. Indulge yourself with a fabulous cream tea.
