Southole Barns is a haven of peace and tranquillity, a real escape back to nature. It nestles in a secluded south facing valley which is also a designated coastal preservation area, an area of outstanding natural beauty and a nature conservancy zone. The Barns are an ideal retreat for nature lovers and walkers with the South West Coast Path on your doorstep where you can enjoy the uninterrupted cliff views, rugged coastline, dramatic scenery, breathtaking seascapes and the amazing wildlife that awaits you. On a clear day, the magical Lundy Island towers above the ocean waves.
Built over 150 years ago and recently refurbished, these former Victorian farm buildings are surrounded by a magnificent cobbled and paved courtyard filled with flower beds and borders. Beautifully converted, these form an attractive range of high quality, tastefully appointed and comfortable self catering barn conversions all with their own individual style. The properties are situated within acres of meadow lands with a beautiful stream-fed pond, attracting amazing wildlife. The gardens are mainly laid to lawn with flower and shrub borders. The 'alfresco' dining area with BBQ makes it an ideal place to unwind with all the family to the sounds of nature.
The character properties include bed linen, electric and central heating (except in the cooler months from 20th September to 16th May where it is an extra £25 per week for Week St Mary and £30 per week for the other three barns). Parking available for 1 car per property. Please note that there is a maximum booking of one barn per party. Communal room which offers a wide range of videos, DVD's, books, puzzles, games and general information all free of charge as well as shared use of freezer from 10am till 8pm. A washing machine and dryer is also at your disposal free of charge (Monday - Friday 10am-6pm) please remember when using this facility that the Barns are not on mains water supply. Water is precious in the countryside so please be cautious and responsible with your usage. (This facility may be suspended during periods of draught). Regret no smoking or pets. All properties can accommodate a cot, highchair and baby bath on request. Beach 1.5 miles, shop and pub 3.5 miles. Arrival time, 4pm and departure 10am. A security deposit of £100 per Barn is required and is payable direct to the owners on arrival.
Roseland Barn is a charming west facing single storey barn conversion offering TWO bedrooms: 1 double master bedroom and 1 twin bedroom both with countryside views. Shower room with WC. Galley kitchen with cooker, fridge and microwave. Dining room. Living room with cosy and comfortable seating and a quirky traditional cast iron enamel electric fire. Solid wood flooring throughout.
