DELIGHTFUL GEORGIAN COTTAGE, A SHORT STROLL TO THE VILLAGE PUB
This delightful cottage is situated in the centre of the charming village of Littleham and offers visitors a comfortable and cosy place to stay. The owner has incorporated many touches of grandeur which give it a luxurious feel. Lots to see and do nearby with many attractions to suit all ages and tastes, such as The Milky Way Adventure Park and The Big Sheep both offering all weather activities and RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal. The large golden sands and unique pebbleridge at Westward Ho! are only a short 15 minute drive and offer a variety of things to do including tennis, crazy golf, horseriding and clifftop walks along the coastal path. Visitors can explore the Northam Burrows Country Park where you can see ponies and sheep grazing freely. Westward Ho! is also the home to the Royal North Devon Golf Club with the oldest links course in the country. The beach here offers an opportunity to hire wetsuits and surf boards as well as a selection of pubs and restaurants. Other places of interest worth a visit are Clovelly, a small cliffside fishing village which has been almost unchanged by time with its quaint cobbled street that leads down to a pretty harbour. Appledore is again a small fishing village with a great maritime and boat building history which is still present to this very day. If all of this sounds too energetic, why not just relax in front of the magnificent log fire or stroll along to the local pub, the Crealock Arms, which serves excellent homemade food.
The contemporary-styled cottage is warm and cosy and benefits from central heating throughout. The accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms: 1 double with room for a cot (this room has restricted access around the double bed), 1 further double with en-suite shower room with modern washbasin, WC and large shower cubicle, and 2 twin rooms (1 having a nautical theme and suitable for children with TV/DVD). Bathroom with bath, shower attachment, washbasin and WC. Downstairs there is an entrance porch ideal for walking boots/surf boards etc. Entrance hall. Cosy split-level lounge with large open fire (first basket of logs provided). Stylish fittings such as crystal chandeliers, tiled slate flooring and rugs. Comfortable sofas, TV/DVD and hi-fi. Door from the lounge leads out to a separate WC and access out to the side of the house. Kitchen is cottage style and has a fabulous fake Aga but is well equipped with electric oven, hob and hood, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Island unit with ample storage. Dining room which can seat up to 8. Bookshelves with a selection of interesting reading matter. Outside there is a small rear lawned area with decking which is elevated from the house (care would need to be taken with young children). Separate patio with garden furniture and built-in BBQ. Parking area for 2 vehicles. Bed linen, electric and central heating included. Regret no pets or smoking. Pub is just a short stroll, shops and nearest supermarket in Bideford approximately 5 miles, sandy beach at Westward Ho! approximately 15 minute drive. |
