About the property


These detached barn conversions have been converted to a very high standard and offer some of the best views over the River Torridge, The Iron Bridge, Tarka Trail and the North Devon countryside. There are some lovely walks direct from the properties over fields including walking access to the Tarka Trail.

Approached via a 0.75 mile private driveway meandering through the owner's 700 acre dairy farm, you will be able to enjoy a tranquil and relaxing holiday. Just over 1 mile from the town of Bideford with its shops, pubs and restaurants. The 2 miles of golden sandy beach at Westward Ho! and the sand dunes at Instow are both a 15 minute drive away. The area offers many attractions to suit all tastes including The Big Sheep, Tapeley Park, The Milky Way, Clovelly with its traditional cobbled steps and much more.

Outside: shared lawn garden with play equipment. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric, first basket of logs and Wi-Fi included. Regret no pets or smoking. Location: beach 4 miles, shop and pub 2 miles. Arrival: from 3pm.

The accommodation offers FIVE bedrooms: most with lovely countryside views, 1 king-size with TV/DVD, Freeview and en-suite with whirlpool bath, shower and WC, 1 king-size with TV/DVD, Freeview and en-suite with shower over bath and WC, 1 zip-and-link double (which can be a twin on request) with en-suite shower room with WC and 2 twins. Bathroom: family size with bath, shower and WC. Separate downstairs WC. Downstairs, which has underfloor heating, offers an impressive entrance hall. Lounge: feature room with TV, Freeview and woodburner and sliding doors to the patio area. Kitchen/diner: a couple of steps down from the hallway, very large room with range cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave, large dining table, further comfortable seating with TV, Freeview, DVD and doors to the patio. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: enclosed garden with stunning views, garden furniture and BBQ. Amenities: 2 cots and 2 highchairs, stairgate for the top of the stairs available.
