The locality is excellent for walkers and riders. Not only can you explore and wander the 300 acres of farmland, but there are also many good footpaths and bridle paths to explore. The Tarka Trail is located close by and provides extensive cycling with wonderful estuary views. Holidaymakers are welcome to explore the working farm by arrangement with the farmer. The sea is never far away and the long sandy beaches of Westward Ho!, Instow and Saunton are easily accessible. Golfers have a number of excellent courses within easy reach, including the Royal North Devon Golf Club at Westward Ho!, Torrington and Saunton. The cathedral city of Exeter, with its fine selection of shopping and architecture, is also within easy reach. There are numerous local attractions to suit all tastes including Dartington Crystal, Rosemoor RHS Gardens, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep are all well worth a visit.
