Most of the time our holiday properties book out for the Full week (7 nights), however there are times during some Off Peak periods or last minute where Short Breaks may be arranged with certain properties. They can be either 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights and are priced accordingly. Please remember that all short break enquiries have to be checked prior to booking, simply find your perfect cottage, get in touch and we will help finalise your enquiry either email or phone our Reservation Team .

CHOCOLATE BOX COTTAGE IN PICTURESQUE VILLAGE SETTING

This lovely 400 year old thatched cottage offers high quality period accommodation full of charm and character, including exposed beams and open fireplace. Set in the award winning village of Winkleigh, rated the best place for families to live in England and Wales, you will be ideally positioned for touring the whole of Devon.

Within a short stroll there is an award winning village inn serving excellent food and local ciders, as well as a general store, butcher, fishmonger and Post Office. There are some lovely countryside walks to explore direct from the property as well as nearby Dartmoor with its rugged scenery and wildlife. There are long sandy surfing beaches to the north as well as sheltered coves to explore. Attractions in the area include RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal, Castle Drogo and much more. In the evenings enjoy a meal at the village pub or relax and watch the sun go down in the enclosed suntrap patio garden with seating.

The accommodation is furnished to a very good standard and offers TWO bedrooms: approached via steep cottage style stairs (please take care with children and infants), 1 double and 1 twin. Bathroom: with electric shower over bath and WC, all newly fitted. Lounge/diner: very cosy with woodburner, TV and DVD. Kitchen: newly fitted with cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge with small freezer section,microwave and tiled floor. Outside: small sunny patio garden with seating accessed from the kitchen via steps. Amenities: roadside parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and electric heating included. Regret no pets. Location: beach 19 miles, pub and shops all short stroll.
