A few yards upstream from the property there is a public slipway to the river, a kayak and bike hire centre and access to the Tarka Trail, a traffic free path stretching for 30 miles, perfect for country walks and bike rides. The excellent surf beach at Westward Ho!, the quaint fishing village of Appledore, and the marina and beautiful sands at Instow are all within 3 miles. In the evenings, there are numerous pubs and restaurants in the town to explore. Alternatively, you can relax in the riverside garden for a BBQ, watch the bird life on the river, try fishing from the small deck or soak up the fabulous sunsets and lights of the town on the hillside opposite.
