Most of the time our holiday properties book out for the Full week (7 nights), however there are times during some Off Peak periods or last minute where Short Breaks may be arranged with certain properties. They can be either 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights and are priced accordingly. Please remember that all short break enquiries have to be checked prior to booking, simply find your perfect cottage, get in touch and we will help finalise your enquiry either email or phone our Reservation Team.

About the property

STUNNING RIVERSIDE POSITION WITH VIEWS OVER THE RIVER

This modern, stylishly presented, attached property is on the banks of the River Torridge in the picturesque North Devon town of Bideford. It is arranged over three floors, all having stunning uninterrupted views of the river and town over the rear garden.

Downstream is an impressive stone bridge dating back to the 13th century which is the focal point of the town. A comfortable stroll across the bridge takes you to the bustling quayside where you can watch the fishing boats and daily life go by, or settle into one of the quayside coffee shops or pubs. A few yards upstream from the property there is a public slipway to the river, a kayak and bike hire centre and access to the Tarka Trail, a traffic free path stretching for 30 miles, perfect for country walks and bike rides. The excellent surf beach at Westward Ho!, the quaint fishing village of Appledore, and the marina and beautiful sands at Instow are all within 3 miles. In the evenings, there are numerous pubs and restaurants in the town to explore. Alternatively, you can relax in the riverside garden for a BBQ, watch the bird life on the river, try fishing from the small deck or soak up the fabulous sunsets and lights of the town on the hillside opposite.

The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: set in the eaves on the second floor, 1 double with en-suite shower room and WC, and 1 twin with TV/DVD. Bathroom: with shower over and WC. Separate WC on the ground floor. Lounge/kitchen/diner: located on the first floor enjoys river views and Juliet balcony, with TV ,DVD, Freeview, hi-fi with docking station for iPods and other mp3 players. Second lounge area, located on the ground floor, with seating and TV. Kitchen offers dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Utility room: on the ground floor with a washing machine, freezer and drink cooler. Outside: reached via patio doors from the second lounge, enclosed patio area with seating and BBQ, with glass safety panels on the riverside edge of the decking. Amenities: parking for 2 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. Regret no pets. 2 adult mountain bikes and child trailer available for use. Location: beach 2 miles, pubs and shops walking distance.
