The gardens are a real haven to relax in and there is much to see and do within the immediate area. Enjoy Lynton and Lynmouth, known as Little Switzerland and connected via a water powered cliff railway, the village of Porlock with its shops and pubs, The Valley of the Rocks, Brendon Valley, numerous long sandy surfing beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde, National Trust's Arlington Court, Watermouth Castle and much more. In the evenings, visit one of many local family pubs serving good food, or enjoy a glass of wine in the garden.
