You can stroll to the thatched pub/restaurant, which is an ideal venue for family or friends. The sandy surfing beaches at Westward Ho! and Widemouth Bay are only a short drive, as are the market towns of Holsworthy and Torrington which have weekly pannier and open-air markets as well as a selection of shops and pubs. The port town of Bideford is probably equal distance and has a larger selection of pubs and restaurants and an historic quayside. Other places of interest include Clovelly with its steep cobbled street and pretty harbour, or the traditional fishing village of Appledore where you can still see many maritime connections. A short drive from here over the estuary is Instow where you can sit and relax on the sandy beach or play in the sand dunes, and for those who like watching boats/windsurfers and yachts, Instow is home to the North Devon Yacht Club and for golfers there are at least five golf courses within a close proximity including England's oldest course The Royal North Devon Golf Club.

Fuel surcharge of £25 per week - £15.00 for short breaks in Barn 1 and £25 per week - £15.00 for short breaks in Barn 2, applicable (October - May) payable to the owner prior to arrival. Beaches 20 minute drive, pub/restaurant all within walking distance. Shops: Somerfield Supermarket in Holsworthy and Asda and Morrisons in Bideford.
The accommodation offers THREE beautifully co-ordinated bedrooms: 1 double on the ground floor with TV, en-suite shower room and WC, on the first floor there is 1 other double and 1 twin room both with TVs. There is a light and airy galleried landing area which offers guests a quiet place to relax or read a book along with a pull-out double futon (ideal for children). Family bathroom with telephone style shower over bath and WC. The large open-plan lounge area has a large corner suite along with plasma TV with Freeview and DVD. French doors lead from the lounge out onto a decked area with seating and BBQ beyond this is a lawned area. The kitchen/dining area has a modern dining table, cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. Parking for up to 2 cars. 2 well behaved dogs welcome.
