This delightful farm cottage, situated adjacent to the owner's home, sits in the centre of the Tamar Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From the garden, step into 21 acres of private bluebell woods with access to a network of valley paths.
Cycle round the Bere Peninsula and admire awe inspiring views, or local pony trekking can be arranged. Immerse yourself into the Devon way of life. Conveniently positioned between the market town of Tavistock, a short drive north, and the regional capital of Plymouth to the south, which offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants. Not to mention its wealth of day trips and attractions from the historic Hoe, the National Marine Aquarium, Theatre Royal and many more to keep even the most discerning guests entertained. The TV programme The Edwardian Farm was filmed in this area and Morwellham Quay, Buckland Abbey and The Garden House are must see destinations when visiting this stunning part of the world. You will long to return to the cottage after a day’s exploring where you can simply relax in the shared garden and take in the views down the valley. Boats can be accommodated with a launching area on the nearby River Tamar.
The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: double with TV/DVD and en-suite with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with TV/DVD. Breakfast bar with stools. Electric oven, fridge with small freezer section, washing machine, microwave and many useful extras. Outside: partially covered patio area with seating and BBQ. Sun loungers available (in adjoining shed). Lawn area with countryside views. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included (winter surcharge of £15 per week 1 November - end March payable on arrival). Regret no smoking. 2 dogs by arrangement. Additional info: the cottage has an open tread wooden staircase. There is ample space to store boats/trailers on site. Location: beach 10 miles, shops and pubs 2 miles. Arrival: 3pm.
