Nestling amongst the hillside of Dartmouth with far-reaching views over the river and town, this delightful cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and offers a unique holiday experience. You will be a short walk away from the narrow streets and ancient buildings of Dartmouth, which boasts being a regular winner of the Britain in Bloom competition. You can also step aboard a boat trip on the River Dart, or for those more energetic there are walks of varying distances directly from the property, visits to National Trust gardens, golf and sea angling. Take a passenger ferry across the river to Paignton and Torquay, both offering something for all ages, at all times of the year. Along the 22 miles of the English Riviera coastline are 19 beaches and the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina. If you wanted to stay closer to home you can simply sit back and relax in the enclosed garden (some areas are sloping and children to be supervised) with views over Dartmouth or explore the 15 acres of land with a large orchard that offers plums, apples and pears.
The accommodation offers FOUR bedrooms all with a view: 1 double with dormer windows so you can take full advantage of the views, 1 double with additional single bed if required, 1 single and 1 twin. Lounge with Sky TV, DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, Rayburn, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Dining room with open fire and dining table. Downstairs bathroom with shower over and WC. Family bathroom upstairs with shower over, bidet and WC. Steep stairs so children beware. Outside some areas are sloping and children will need to be supervised.The garden offers an enclosed patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Large orchard. Fields to walk or exercise the dogs. Parking for 3 cars. Bed linen, electric, full central heating (central heating subject to £25 surcharge from 1st October - 30th April) and logs included. 2 small dogs welcome. No smoking. Shops and pubs walking distance (in some places it can get steep), beach 5 miles. Cash Security deposit of £150 is payable direct to the owner on arrival. (Regret no cheques) Arrival time 4pm. |
