Set in a beautiful and tranquil countryside location on the edge of the pretty village of Exminster and yet still only 7 miles from the long sandy beach at Dawlish Warren which provides a safe environment for bathing with its gentle sloping beach, perfect for family days out. This delightful barn conversion offers holidaymakers an opportunity to enjoy both countryside and coast. Dawlish Warren is a sandy spit that extends for two miles into the mouth of the Exe estuary. The coastal resorts of Exmouth, Teignmouth and Torbay are all within a short drive. Tapstone Barn is also located close to the historic City of Exeter and Powderham Castle, but if you would like to stay closer to home, you are welcome to fish on the private coarse fishing pond which is stocked with carp and other various coarse fish or simply relax in your own private garden. Alternatively, you could enjoy countryside walks directly from the door.
The accommodation has been converted to a high standard and offers many original features throughout. The barn offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin bedroom with an extra single bed if required. Family bathroom with a bath, shower cubicle and WC. Spacious lounge with TV, DVD, hi-fi and oil burning stove. Kitchen/diner with Aga, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, separate shower cubicle and WC. Outside offers a large courtyard setting with water feature shared with the owners and there is a large enclosed private garden for holidaymakers at Tapstone Barn with garden furniture and countryside views.
