There are many attractions close by including Dawlish, Teignmouth and Torbay (approximately 14 miles), and the beautiful unspoilt South Devon coast between Brixham and Plymouth with its glorious beaches. The wilds of Dartmoor, with its excellent walking and riding are nearby and there are four golf courses in easy reach. There are some lovely local walks through Yarner Nature Reserve, with Haytor, a well-known Dartmoor landmark, only two miles away. Nearby Bovey Tracey has a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, and is home to the Devon Guild Craftsman.
