Christchurch, with its 900 year old Priory, nestles between the New Forest (Britain’s newest National Park) and the vibrant cosmopolitan town of Bournemouth on the Dorset coast. The area itself is one of the finest parts of the country and is renowned for its weather, beaches, coastal and woodland walks, historical sites of interest and fine food. You will be situated within easy reach of award winning beaches and the neighbouring towns of Poole, Southampton and Salisbury. Take the ferry from Lymington (a pretty yachting town) across the Solent to the Isle of Wight, or visit the Channel Islands, or even France on a fast ferry from Poole or Weymouth. Enjoy fossil hunting along the Jurassic coastline (recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with its stunning scenery or just relax on one of the quiet, picturesque beaches. Amongst the many attractions the area has to offer are the renowned Exbury and Compton Acre gardens, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Monkey World, Hurst and Corfe castles, Weymouth’s Deep Sea Adventure and Paultons Park (a family theme park) all of which can be enjoyed on a day’s excursion.
The accommodation is arranged over 3 floors and offers FOUR bedrooms: 2 doubles and 2 singles. On the ground floor there is a fully-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The dining area has a table and 6 chairs. The large lounge overlooks the pretty garden and nature reserve beyond. A TV and DVD are provided. The patio doors open onto a raised patio area with steps down to the well-planted, enclosed garden bordering Stanpit Marsh. The first floor comprises the main bedroom with a double bed, handbasin and a balcony with lovely views. On this floor there are a further 2 single bedrooms, one with a handbasin. The family bathroom has a bath/shower and handbasin, and a separate WC. On the second floor there is another bedroom with double bed and a balcony which is large enough for family dining, evening drinks or sun bathing. The views from here are wonderful, encompassing the Nature Reserve, harbour and Hengistbury Head. This bedroom has its own bathroom with WC, hand basin and spa bath. The nearest beach is 1 mile away, Mudeford harbour a 20 minute walk, shops and pubs are within walking distance. Off-road parking for 3 cars. Bed linen and towels provided. Utilities, including full central heating are included. A travel cot and high chair can be provided. Regret no pets. No smoking inside the property. |
