Approached by their own private entrance, both cottages have an inviting atmosphere with comfortable furnishings that are in keeping with the property and there are many homely finishing touches. The land offers stunning scenery, and provides access to the inland coastal footpath and a wealth of bridleways.
Hardy's monument can be seen from the cottages and is just a few minutes drive away. Breathtaking views of most of Dorset can be seen on all sides of the monument. While away the hours exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside which is dotted with small picturesque villages and is stunning in all seasons. The Heritage Coastline is within easy reach by car, from the picturesque beaches of Burton Bradstock 7 miles to the famous Chesil Beach (3 miles) that stretches for 18 miles. The surrounding coastline also provides excellent conditions for diving, snorkelling, canoeing/kayaking, windsurfing/kite surfing, fishing and sailing with the 2012 Olympic sailing venue in Portland. Discover the wealth of places to visit including Weymouth with its seafront, beaches, Sealife centre and harbour, Abbotsbury Swannery, Monkey World, Dinosaur Museum, Lulworth Cove and Castle, Durdle Door and much, much more.
Both cottages have ample off-road parking. Bed linen and electric included. Central heating is an extra £30 per week, payable to the owner. Regret no smokers. 1 small/medium dog welcome, further by arrangement. For those wishing to take a horse, stabling and grazing can be made available at an additional charge payable to the owner. Martinstown's village pub serves good food and is just 2 miles away, Dorchester's shops, pubs and restaurants 3 miles, good sandy beach 7 miles. Arrival time 4pm.
The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower and WC and 2 twin bedrooms. Downstairs is the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, dishwasher and washing machine. Lounge with an open fire for those cooler evenings, TV and DVD. Sunroom with wonderful countryside views with dining seating for six and some additional comfortable seating. Enclosed large decking area overlooking surrounding fields with seating.
