The popular seaside town of Weymouth is just 5 miles with its wonderful golden sandy beach, shopping centre, cinema and newly developed harbour area where you could enjoy a day trip to the Channel Islands on a fast ferry. The surrounding coastline also provides excellent conditions for diving, snorkelling, canoeing/kayaking, windsurfing/kite surfing, fishing and sailing with the 2012 Olympic sailing venue in Portland.
