This delightful cottage was built in the 1700s and is situated a short walk away from the delightful Chesil Beach. It has been recently refurbished to a high standard and offers an ideal base for touring this fantastic part of the country. Around Portland, the sea and harbour provide excellent conditions for diving, snorkelling, canoeing/kayaking, windsurfing/kite surfing, fishing and sailing with the 2012 Olympic sailing venue just a short drive. There are many coastal walks well worth a visit with some breathtaking views. You will be within easy driving distance to many attractions including Monkey World, Portland Castle, Weymouth's Deep Sea Adventure and much more. The popular seaside town of Weymouth is just 6 miles with its sandy beach, high street shops, pubs, cinema and harbour where you could enjoy a day trip to the Channel Islands on a fast ferry.
The accommodation is arranged over 3 floors and offers THREE bedrooms: 1 double with sea views and 1 single room, 1 twin and 1 single on the third floor approached via steep cottage-style stairs with sloped ceiling (watch your head). Family bathroom with shower, bath and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, TV, DVD and hi-fi. Free car park walking distance. Bed linen, electric and full central heating included. Travel cot and highchair available. Regret no pets. No smoking inside the property. Beach, pubs and shops walking distance away. A child minding service by a NVQ 3 qualified child minder can be provided at additional cost subject to availability.
