This delightful countryside property is set in an enviable position overlooking Warminster, and close to Longleat Estate. Ideally positioned for visiting Bath, Wells, Bristol, Shaftesbury and Glastonbury as well as many pretty surrounding villages. Those who enjoy walking or cycling are well catered for with beautiful walks and cycle paths through Longleat Forest. You can even continue on through the Wylye Valley and on to Salisbury if you wish. For those looking for a more relaxing holiday, why not sit and enjoy the views from the bungalow or take a short drive into Warminster which offers a good selection of shops. The National Trust property of Stourhead with its magnificent House and Gardens is well worth a visit. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are also nearby, and for those who like a "flutter", a trip to Wincanton Racecourse is always a good day out. All-in-all something for everyone at Swallows Rest.
This self-contained bungalow offers accommodation all on one floor, with the exception of 2 shallow steps which lead from the hall up to the bedrooms and bathroom (stairgate available) and benefits from tiled floors throughout except for bedrooms. Unfortunately internal doorways are not wide enough for wheelchair access. TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 room with 1 single and bunk beds. Bathroom with bath, shower over and WC. Lounge/diner with TV, DVD, video and Freeview, small video library and hi-fi. Compact but well-fitted kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave. Many useful extras also supplied including a welcome pack. Patio area with BBQ. Ample off-road parking. Bed linen, electric and central heating (Winter months) included, a fuel surcharge of £35 per week is applicable from October to Easter, payable direct to the owner on arrival..
