Short Breaks


Most of the time our holiday properties book out for the Full week (7 nights), however there are times during some Off Peak periods or last minute where Short Breaks may be arranged with certain properties. They can be either 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights and are priced accordingly. Please remember that all short break enquiries have to be checked prior to booking, simply find your perfect cottage, get in touch and we will help finalise your enquiry.

TRADITIONAL LARGE REGENCY RESIDENCE IN DESIRABLE LOCATION OPPOSITE THE BEACH

A lovely semi-detached  traditional Regency home within the desirable village of Instow, with far reaching views across the River Torridge to Appledore, the estuary and sea beyond. With the sandy beach being right on your doorstep, the location makes for a wonderful holiday destination.

Instow itself offers a range of facilities all within a level walk, including a fully stocked store, shops, pubs, restaurants and a gallery, and the North Devon Cricket Club (one of the most beautiful in England) and the North Devon Yacht Club. The Tarka Trail is popular with walkers and cyclists - it can be joined 5 minutes from the house so that you get to Bideford, Fremington Quay, Barnstaple and beyond, with glorious river and country views along the way. Further afield are attractions to suit most tastes and these include the market town of Barnstaple, Tapley Park, National Trust's  Arlington Court, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way and much more. Enjoy a BBQ in the enclosed rear garden in the evenings, or stroll to one of the family pubs serving good food.

The accommodation, which retains much of its original charm with period furnishings and has been in the same family for generations. It is arranged over the two ground floors of the property with a separate apartment above. There are FIVE bedrooms: all doubles and twins. On the ground floor, 2 king-size doubles, 1 with washbasin and 1 twin with washbasin. On the lower ground, there are 2 twin bedrooms. Bathroom: on the ground floor, new with bath and shower plus a separate WC. On the lower ground floor is a shower/utility room with new shower, washing machine, tumble dryer and a separate WC. Lounge: with TV, DVD, Freeview and telephone for incoming calls. Kitchen/diner: farmhouse-style and fully equipped with table that can sit 10 people but is more comfortable with 8, gas cooker, dishwasher, new fridge/freezer and microwave; separate larder. Outside: enclosed rear garden with seating. Amenities: parking for 2 cars in drive and then roadside parking. Bed linen, electric and central heating included. Wi-fi available. 1 well behaved dog by arrangement. Additional info: price band W for off-peak periods for parties of 6 or less. Location: beach, shops and pubs/restaurants all a short stroll. Arrival: 4pm. Departure 12pm.
