Short Breaks

Most of the time our holiday properties book out for the Full week (7 nights), however there are times during some Off Peak periods or last minute where Short Breaks may be arranged with certain properties. They can be either 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights and are priced accordingly. Please remember that all short break enquiries have to be checked prior to booking, simply find your perfect cottage, get in touch and we will help finalise your enquiry.

Padstow

Padstow holidays

Nestling on the Camel Estuary, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, lies Padstow, now one of the UK’s top holiday destinations. The harbour, which is still a working port, is the hub of the town area with narrow streets leading from it to pastel-washed medieval houses and quaint little craft shops.

Picturesque coves abound in the neighbouring area, along with sandy beaches and rugged headlands. With restaurants, bistros and bars to suit all tastes you will be spoilt for choice in this “foodies” paradise.

About Padstow

Padstow

From the busy harbour at Padstow you will be able to find beaches within walking distance or a short drive along the coast takes you to some of Cornwall’s finest beaches.

Whether you fancy a trip round the harbour or to try your hand at fishing you will find plenty of choice amongst the colourful boats lining the harbour. The local ferry across the estuary to nearby Rock provides an abundance of photo opportunities. From here you can follow the coastpath around to Polzeath, passing the beautiful St Enodoc Church which is the burial place of Sir John Betjeman.

Today Padstow remains a fishing port whose produce has been made famous by Rick Stein’s television series and acclaimed seafood restaurant.

Take time out to explore the port’s rich heritage with the hidden curiosities of the Town Trail, the maritime displays in Padstow Museum and the grounds and lavish interiors of Prideaux Place, a beautiful Elizabethan mansion. On the North Quay you can visit the National Lobster Hatchery.

Padstow is the start and finish of the Camel Trail, an old railway line which is now a cycle and footpath winding 18 miles along the River Camel.
