A small village situated on the headland opposite Padstow, Polzeath is a fantastic destination for those wanting to experience the best of the Cornish surf. Located on the North Cornish coast, this beautiful sand and shingle beach benefits from slow braking, Atlantic swell; offering the perfect conditions for both expert and novice surfers to enjoy. Dolphins and Seals have even been known to join in the fun!
The large expanse of beach also benefits from the presence of lifeguards in-season, so it's a wonderful destination for families who want to enjoy bathing and the small coves are also great for exploring too.
Walkers can enjoy a coastal path which leads to Daymer Bay on the one side and Pentire Point to the other. Both walks show off the stunning rugged coastline and offer the most spectacular views. Look out for Doyden Castle. A folly, many believe it was used for gambling purposes in the 1800's, though it now belongs to The National Trust.
With its parade of shops, there's plenty of convenient amenities nearby, so you won't have to venture far to get some tasty local food; the wide range of local cafés and restaurants offer meals to suit all tastes.
